ShowRec Terms of Service

1. The service

ShowRec lets you record your screen, upload the recording, generate AI documentation and summaries, and share videos via links. Features and limits depend on your plan (see Pricing).

2. Accounts

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You must provide an accurate email address. You may use the Service anonymously, but some features require an account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• record or share content you don’t have the right to capture, or that violates others’ privacy;
• upload unlawful, infringing, malicious, or harmful content;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
• resell or redistribute the Service without permission.

You are solely responsible for the content you record and share, and for obtaining any consent required to record other people.

4. Your content

You retain all ownership of your recordings and content. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your content solely to operate and provide the Service (including AI processing of videos you choose to process). We do not claim ownership of your content and do not sell it.

5. Plans, billing & refunds

• Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis via our payment provider, Paddle (the merchant of record).
• You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the current billing period, after which the plan reverts to Free. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
• Free-tier limits (video count, length, storage, and retention) apply automatically.
• Taxes may apply depending on your location and are handled by Paddle.

6. Availability & changes

We aim to keep the Service available but provide it “as is” without guarantees of uninterrupted operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, and may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, your content may be deleted.

8. Disclaimers & liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, and ShowRec is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or content. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
